Where to find Haldor, Hildir and the Bog Witch in Valheim

Valheim has three traders: Haldor in the Black Forest, Hildir in the Meadows, and the Bog Witch in the Swamp. Their camps are placed when a world is generated. Enter your seed on the traders page to see their possible locations on your own map.

Haldor's possible camps start at least 1,500 metres from the world centre. Hildir's and the Bog Witch's possible camps lie between 3,000 and 8,000 metres from it. These are placement ranges, not walking distances from your spawn.

Which trader is in each biome?

  • Haldor appears at a Black Forest camp. His permanent stock includes a Fishing Rod, Fishing Bait and the Megingjord belt. More goods become available after particular bosses are defeated.
  • Hildir appears at a Meadows camp. She sells clothing and furnishings from the start; returning the chests from her quests opens further stock. Hildir's page shows which chest opens which goods.
  • The Bog Witch appears at a Swamp camp. She sells ingredients and brewing supplies, with more offers opening as boss milestones are reached.

Each trader's page shows the individual goods, coin prices and unlock conditions. Use Haldor, Hildir or the Bog Witch to inspect an item before travelling.

Why does the map show several camps?

The seed map marks possible positions. For each trader, only the first camp you discover becomes active in that world. The other pins are not additional shops you can visit later. A seed alone cannot tell which camp your character has discovered, so treat the pins as a search route until you visit one.

If you have already generated a map in this browser, the traders page reuses that world and shows its camps. Otherwise, enter a seed there to generate the map without leaving the page. You can open the full seed map from a camp pin to plan the route from your spawn point.
