Valheim 1.0.15
Patch 1.0.15 fixes terrain duplication and doubles Deep North armor drops
Patch 1.0.15 is a short follow-up release. It closes one performance bug, widens a drop table in the Deep North, and cleans up a handful of item-marking bugs left over from earlier updates.
Terrain duplication
The main fix targets a bug that duplicated terrain data and dragged down performance for the players it hit. A world that still shows visible seams in the ground after updating can be repaired locally: reshape the terrain along the seam, or simply walk it in the snow, and the seam clears. Reloading the area no longer brings a cleared seam back, which was the part of the bug that made it stick around across sessions.
Deep North armor moulds
Both Jotun Warrior enemy types in the Deep North now drop medium and heavy armor moulds together, instead of each type dropping only one tier. Writhan's spawn rate and the areas it can appear in were also increased, so the fight that guards those moulds comes up more often.
Item marking and stacking
Two related bugs are fixed for players who use developer commands: items affected by dev commands were being wrongly marked for characters that also have the dev bypass toggled on, and their names had drifted out of sync, which stopped them from stacking with the same item obtained normally. Both are corrected, and affected items stack again.
Carried over from item stand and armour stand fixes
The patch notes repeat an earlier warning about the save-format update that shipped with 1.0: items placed on an Item Stand or an Armour Stand could lose their stored level and variant when a world first converted to the new format. That conversion bug was fixed in patch 1.0.12, so any world converting from 1.0.12 onward keeps its stand items intact. A world that converted before that fix has two ways back: revert to the backup Valheim made the first time it loaded the new save format, which rolls back every other change made since, or open a copy of that backup, move the affected items onto a character there, and carry them back into the live world.
The patch notes flag that 1.0.15 needs a few extra days to reach every platform. Crossplay keeps working normally in the meantime, so a group split across platforms is not blocked from playing together while the rollout finishes.
