Valheim nie ma menu modów: mody to wtyczki BepInEx w folderze gry, instalowane menedżerem takim jak r2modman lub Vortex, a mod, który zmienia wspólny świat, musi działać na serwerze i w grze każdego gracza.
Mod, który oznacza grę jako zmodyfikowaną, sprawia, że ekran startowy pokazuje to powiadomienie, a dopóki jest wczytany, żadne osiągnięcia się nie odblokowują:
Grasz w zmodyfikowaną wersję Valheim. Należy zauważyć że może to zmienić oryginalne wrażenia gry. Jeżeli doświadczasz jakichś błedów, prosimy o odinstalowanie wszystkich modów zanim je zgłosisz. Jeżeli ostatnio gra zaktualizowała się, niektóre modyfikacje które wcześniej działały, mogą nie działać poprawnie dopóki też nie zostaną zaktualizowane.
